Make Canada a “oui” bit better!

September is back to school and the Canadian Parents for French Membership Drive!

Membership is open to families and organizations interested in supporting French second language learning opportunities. $25 for one year gets you access to tools & learning guides, access to publications, and networking & advocacy supports.

New members will receive a free copy of Helping Your Child Become Bilingual: A Toolkit for CPF Members, a helpful booklet containing nine informative sections on everything from program breakdowns to how to help support your child’s academic journey.

In November CPF Surrey will be doing a new members draw – TWO prizes of t-shirts are available, your way of showing you want to make Canada a “oui” bit better!

The best thing about being a member is realizing you’re not alone!

Lord Tweedsmuir French Immersion

Martha Currie and Sunrise Ridge Families:

As you may be aware, the Surrey School district is under public consultation as to how to populate the new Clayton area highschool.

Canadian Parents for French – Surrey Chapter would like to collect the feedback of parents and students who will be impacted by this decsion before submitting a formal position on the reolcation to ensure we are evidence based.

The current recommendation from the district proposes to pull French Immersion from Tweedsmuir and put it at the new highschool (184 St & 73 Ave)

We would like to specifically target families with FI students in grades 5, 6, and 7. The survey comprises of 4 questions and should take under 2 minutes to complete. Results will be kept anonymous and only the survey results will be shared with the district.

Our survey can be found here

Parents should ALSO share their views with the District at<>.
